Where and how you manage your password.You will no longer have to memorize various passwords. My Accounts allows you to change your password for many of the UTS-managed systems in one centralized location. This will change your passwords into one master password. Once you change your password many of the UTS-managed systems will have the same master password.
Where and how you manage your accounts. Users will be able to request new accounts online through the My Accounts system (coming soon). Specifically, faculty, staff and students will be able to view what accounts the currently have access to. New employees will automatically receive FIU accounts. When employees leave the University, the system will automatically disable their access.
My Accounts will improve the way we manage our accounts. Specifically, it will
- reduce the number of passwords used ( create one master password)
- improve account security (by requiring strong password rules in the systems)
- automate the creation and deletion of accounts for faculty, staff and students
- automate security audit report capability
- organize accounts (users will know how many and what UTS accounts they use)
